Using your time more effectively
Successful companies respond positively to the following questions:
• Are you in control of your own time and agenda - or are you event driven?
• Do you spend sufficient time planning where you want your company to be in 2 years time - and how you will get there?
• Do you spend time on important, but non-urgent, tasks, or are they often replaced by short term panics?
• Do you spend time considering whether your company structure and managers roles are still appropriate?
• Do you spend sufficient ‘quality time' with your staff to ensure that they are motivated and performing to the best of their ability?
• Do you spend sufficient time with your most important customers and prospects?
• Do you spend time on financial forecasting, financial planning and risk analysis (as opposed to historical reporting)?
• Do you invest time in networking and understanding the trends in your market and what may happen in the future
• Are you doing what you are good at - delegating other tasks appropriately?
• Do have processes that give you timely information enabling you to run the company efficiently?
• Do you communicate well, so your staff focus their effort and energy on the right things at the right times?
