The early days of a success story
Our client is entrusted with the highly specialised task of moving the sets and equipment used by touring Rock Groups and other entertainers from venue to venue and country to country. It is a demanding, skilled and interest task. Building on these skills the company set up a new specialist engineering division three years ago. At the end of its first year, Azure Partners were chosen to act as mentors and advisors to provide strategic input to the Business Plan going forward.
What we did
We assisted in the preparation of the Business Vision and Strategy for submission to the UK Group Board. The strategy laid out the short and medium term goals of the business, the key strategic elements which would guide the business towards the goals, and the critical milestones along the way that it must achieve to fully deliver its promises. In addition, Azure Partners prepared the Marketing and Sales strategy and plans for the Division, and advised on the specifications for an individual to help deliver the plans.
How the second year turned out
Since its first anniversary, the new Division has tapped a recurring source of business from a global brand client. Its creative solution finding, engineering design and project management skills now place it among the leaders in demountable constructions, with business streams emanating from international brands and building contractors and government agencies.
Its flexibility of structure, scalability and rapid response strengths have contributed to impressive growth exceeding budget within its second year of trading. An order book value £10m initially has seen increases of 50% in year 2.
As it nears its third year, this specialist engineering business is well placed to increase revenues and profit a further 50%. Without doubt one of the most successful businesses with whom we have been involved.
